Camps Overview
Chess and table tennis camps have been designed to provide fun, competition, and training for youngsters (ages 7-17) and adults of all levels of play. Campers may elect to participate in table tennis only, chess only, or a combination of both chess and table tennis activities. The camp director is an experienced tournament competitor in both endeavors, and has extensive experience in teaching both as well. The camp equipment includes a table tennis robot and computers that run chess programs, so a camper will always have an available partner, even when the director and all other campers are busy.
Paddles (and balls) will be provided to table tennis participants who do not bring their own. Chess participants may bring their own sets and clocks if they wish, but all chess equipment that is needed will be provided. Trophies and other awards will be given out for some competitions. To keep all campers engaged, entertaining non-competitive activities will be held throughout the day.
